Good Afternoon Everyone :) well, we have the day off today - we were really buried under snow...I spent a solid four hours shoveling yesterday, I ache all over...but, good news - I have tickets to see the Giants tonight! it's going to be crazy cold tonight, but that's okay - I have to see my team play!

Good Morning Everyone :) I don't have anything terribly exciting to report, but I'm here :) I know I don't post much, I really don't have much to say. Or I do, but I'm saying it to real people...that sounded wrong - but physical people :p my uncle got me tickets to the Giants/Redskins game this Monday, so I'm taking Monday and Tuesday off from work. There's been a good deal of work drama here, but I feel like most of you don't really get a lot out of those posts, so I'll skip it ;) I have a ton of HP icons, so here we go :)

Good Morning Everyone :) I know I've missed a ton of birthday's lately, and not on purpose - things have just been crazy! Especially with the news I shared last week about work, it's been a little insane...a very belated to mlledefer and casettes and a to atanone! also - on a random note, I have a few new icons *points* found a few at danceof_flame :) my only detraction being that she has one post per page, so you have to keep hitting previous...I wonder if people ever think about that when creating 'cool' layouts? But her graphics are fab :)

I haven't updated in almost a week, I'm sure you were all enjoying the quiet :) I haven't really done much this week, day 2 of my 'staycation,' as I didn't make plans and spent most of yesterday sick and feeling gross, thank you, Dad, for giving me your cold. I had a strange tumultuous couple days, not really sure why, but holidays do strange things, don't they? Unfortunately, the holidays don't do much for my Giants either...( is it possible they might win another game this season? )

I haven't done an icon post in a while...do I need to post the stats? I've hardly been posting, so it isn't all that exciting...this is a random smattering of icons, heavily Liv I expect, but some others in the mix for the fun of it :)

Good Morning Everyone :) well, the definition of being off is totally lost on me, I spent at least half the day yesterday working on stuff for work...faboo...I did see New Moon again on Monday, better the second time, but not as funny :p I've got two other updates. The Giants snapped their four-game losing streak and I saw Paranormal Activity last night. ( giants )

I apologise for not being around for like 3 days straight - the pace of things has been intense at both work and home since Thursday...we have our furlough starting on Monday, and guess what, I get to work over furlough again! I think someone is confused about what that word means...ie, my bosses...so I can look forward to that.

I am sad to say, the Wolverines have lost again...to the hated Ohio State Buckeyes...the Giants are playing now...it doesn't look good, to be quite frank, but we still have a couple hours to go. Also, I saw New Moon at midnight on Thursday - I am sure you've all done tons of reviews, but I have a small one too ( new moon review )

Good Morning :) I apologise for being MIA over the weekend, things got a little hectic and I've been running around a lot...thankfully, the Giants did not play this weekend...do we need an update on the fact that the Wolverines lost again? Probably not...but they lost, 45-20 to Wisconsin...

I saw Cate Blanchett in A StreetCar Named Desire over the weekend at the Kennedy Centre...well, let's just say, now I remember why I never liked Tennessee Williams...it is not a 'good' play...I mean, I don't like it. I never liked it. I wanted to see Cate, we had box seats, I'm not sure I can even say I was glad I went. I don't want to sound utterly uncultured, but I did not enjoy it at all. At least I got to see her live and in-person :) ( finished another book )

Good Morning :) I have nothing really meaningful to share, but I did notice I now have 200 user pics! I know londonesque did a poll for which one to put into her newest slot, but I have 25 empty slots...what to do?? I adore a certain celebrity, we all know, but those new Vanity Fair/Harper's Bazaar pics of Rob and Kristen are pretty nice too...25 slots...what would you put in 25 slots of icons?

also, in case anyone was curious, we have furlough (at work) the 23rd-25th of this month, so I won't be at work. I also took the following week off for the hell of...but I have nothing planned. I'm not doing a staycation, and I waited too long to fly some place far...I'm debating seeing my smelly sister, but I don't really care for flying that far...

I am trying to relax more, in general...I find if I don't force things, in life, other things will flow, you know? I think I am ready for a new 'journey' in life - or at least I'm ready to start considering it. stay tuned, or not :)

I just have to remember to focus on what truly matters and ignore/let slide everything else. I didn't really do a whole lot this past weekend, but I think I needed that. Good Morning Everyone :) I have a mildly amusing and insensitive story to share and then I'll post some random icons - I might have the time, I really don't, but I might anyway ;)

So, we all know what happened last week, right? Remembering that, I sent an e-mail, before I left Friday morning, to my department, saying I was leaving to see my grandfather before he passed. That's customary, letting them know I'll be out. So this goes to my boss and the VP's above that. One of the VP's came into my office Tuesday, having not been here on Monday, and received said e-mail, asked very cheerfully how my weekend was. I replied quite blandly, 'hectic.' As if just realising it, and she could have asked anyone else at this point instead of putting her foot in her mouth, asked, 'so how's your grandfather?' Let me tell you, my moment of triumph came, I answered politely, 'he's dead.' You don't get to have a lot of conversations like that, but really? How bloody insensitive. Not surprising, but still just plain foolish to have said it like that! I don't think I'm being overly sensitive.

I think this Iced Green Tea Latte is getting to me - I've got way too much energy!

Good Morning Everyone :) I wanted to start off thanking cassandria for the very thoughtful card, I truly appreciate it! The 'open house' will be this Sunday, I'm not looking forward to that, although I did buy the ingredients for my three-layer dip (which has 4 layers in it, I know, I'm so tricksy) - since the games will be on while people are over. Good Morning Everyone :) I am betting some of you may have wondered where I disappeared off to. Especially those of you in my coms. I missed quite a few deadlines and I'm keeping this post public for anyone who passes through to question how I could be so irresponsible. My grandfather, as some of you should know, has been really, really sick. I don't think I have, or even want to go into details in a public post, but I thought I had more time, so hadn't properly made arrangements to get to where he was (I'm in Washington DC, he was in Tampa, FL). Needless to say, he passed Friday morning, I found out as I was rushing to get to the airport, hoping to beat the clock. The last time I saw him alive was in May. So I am somewhat kicking myself for not making time to go down sooner, but at the same time, as all of you know, I've been maxed out on stress lately...to make this a less depressing post, perhaps, here's the next wall, no matching icons:
